The Real Deal Behind GaGa & Perry

Let me just say, I know what Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and every other outrageous celeb is doing……trying to be the next Cher. But girls, there can only be one Cher, and she’s simply legendary. I know these girls are just doing their ‘thing’ and being themselves, but before Gaga, Perry, Beyonce, Spears, J-Lo, Madonna…..there was only CHER. So, case closed…we all know what you guys are fighting for now.

This has cher all over it

cher’s already done everything ladies. She was the first to show her belly button on television and first to have a video banned until after 9 P.M. on MTV (Turn Back Time).

Keep trying though; I love some open-minded, strong women!

Lindz Lohan-Justice Served

I don’t know about anyone reading this, but I’m quite happy Lindsay Lohan received jail time. I mean, to me she was crying out for help. I think jail time will help put her reality into perspective. In my opinoin, she could have been the next big thing (way before she started messing up her name and her rep.)! It’s so sad to see such young, accomplished people fall. I understand, we all go through obstacles, phases, and learnings in life; it’s a part of growing up and becoming an adult. How can we grow if we never make mistakes? I just think she was slipping on by too easily. I’m glad the judge actually gave her jail time! I wish Lohan the best and really hope she gets treatment and can finally resolve any issues she may have.

Processed People-Must See Documentary!

This is a must see documentary for all of America! Have you ever wondered about the horrible increase in heart disease, Type II diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure, and childhood obesity? If you have, then maybe you should watch this video. It’s educational and to the point. The ‘food science’ industry is a major part of our health problems! Millions of people choose the quick, easy, inexpensive processed foods to put into their bodies! Processed foods are posion! They suck!

“Get Healthy Now!

The statistics are terrifying. Two hundred million Americans are overweight and 100 million are obese. More than 75 million Americans have high blood pressure. 24 million people are diabetic. Heart disease remains the No. 1 cause of death for men and women, followed by stroke and obesity-related cancers. Obesity has overtaken tobacco as the No. 1 cause of preventable deaths in the United States.

Over 50% of bankruptcies are caused by what has become known as “medical debt.”

Fast food, fast medicine, fast news and fast lives have turned many Americans into a sick, uninformed, indebted, “processed” people.

Accurate, proven information is the antidote, the way to get off the “health care” treadmill.

Processed People features insightful interviews from nine preeminent health experts. They discuss how and why Americans got into this mess, and what we can do to break the “processed people” cycle.”

Snacks Made Fun

Here’s some classic reciepes made fun, fit, and light!

Kicked Up Trail Mix

This is the classic trail mix made your way! Remember, keep it healthy! I like to do mine like this: combine pretzel sticks, dark chocolate m&m’s, dried pineapples & cranberries, and chex cereal! Enjoy!

Peanut Butter, Grape Nuts, & Banana on Whole Wheat

This snack is one of my favorites! It’s more filling so I enjoy it before a workout (atleast an hour before).

What You Need:

Peanut Butter, Bananas, Grape Nuts cereal, and whole wheat bread

What to Do:

Spread some peanut butter on a slice of whole wheat bread, sprinkle the Grape Nuts on, then slice a banana and place on top!

Coffee Cellulite Treatment!

This treatment doesn’t get rid of cellulite, it reduces the appearance! This is the technique some celebrities use also! The idea is the caffeine acts as a diuretic and it’s dehyradting areas between the fat cells. This reduces the appearance of cellulite; so if you have a big event or a big photo shoot, or whatever this is your quick fix!

What you need:

Coffee grinds (preferably still warm)

Olive Oil or Corn Oil (any oil will do)

Saran Wrap

Mix the coffee grinds with oil olive, corn, or any oil. You want a cakey mixture.

Next, pack the mixture over the trouble area and wrap it with Saran Wrap. This will cause your skin to absorb some of that caffeine and allow the grinds to do the dehydrating.

Keep the mixture packed for 15-30 mins.

Remember, this is only a quick fix; it only reduces the appearance of cellulite for about 24 hours.

The Real House Wives of Bravo- My Crack

I hate to admit it but, I am a huge fan of the Bravo reality series, “The Real House Wives.”  This is reality at its best for me (besides Kathy Griffin My Life on the D-List)! I don’t know why I get so sucked into the shows. I really think it is the casts; the women are like a bag of chex mix! There’s some who are salty; some who are sweet; and some who are sour. There  isn’t one House Wives show, but 5 House Wives shows; each show is in a different location with different women! I love them all (but the Washington D.C. one, I’m not so sure. I haven’t gotten a chance to watch it)!

My Favorite: Real House Wives of New Jersey

Let me first say,  I liked NJ before the whole Jersey Shore thing took off. This show is absolutely entertaining. You have Teresa (my favorite) who is the petite firecracker who will tell you off, flip a table, and still remain a lady. She’s a riot and has 4 lovely, fabulous little girls! Then there’s Caroline who is the mother of everyone. She is so encouraging and uplifting! Now, to Jacqueline who is the new kid on the block, young and pretty and still finding herself amongst the family. Now, to Danielle. Deep inhale, slowly exhale. This woman is crazy; I mean she has lost touch with reality (allegedly). She is what makes the show….so interesting. I can’t even begin to explain the thing that is Danielle.

The Real House Wives of New York

This is my second favorite! The ladies are a riot and so much fun to watch! There’s Bethany Frankel, who is a self-made success with her health food line and health margaritas called “Skinny Girl”; she’s honest and ballsy! Next, we have Alex who has the best husband ever! He’s comical, whimsical, and oh so stylish! Then we have Ramona. I have to say she is one I have come to love. I didn’t like her point blank honesty at first, but she has ‘renewed’ her whole self this past season and I saw a different Ramona; I like her now! Then we come to Jill Zarin who owns a fabric shop in NY. I use to like her until this season; her true colors showed and I think she is a two faced person. Now, here’s the crazy-Kelly Bensimon. I think she needs her head evaluated-watch the show, you’ll agree. Last we have the countess, Luann de Lesseps; I also switched sides with her. I use to like her, but now I see her true back stabbing self.

The Real House Wives of Atlanta

This cast is down right hilarious! From fashion shows to good ole’ hair pulling, they have it all. The girls are sassy, mouthy, and southern. This cast offers the most one liners and finger snappings!

The Real House Wives of Orange County

From tans to workouts to facials, this cast displays it all. They are the typical O.C women I pictured. They’re great and all, but they are so concerned with superficiality! But, the ladies are lovely and have nice hearts! Plus, there’s always good drama!

Some Great Shots!
