Rolling Stones & Coffee “Rockin’ Morning, Champ”

Today’s coffee adventures includes an amazing, hand-me down from my boss, Rolling Stones 1972 Tour t-shirt and a hot frickin’ day. In New Orleans, it’s so hot. Like, I’m sitting in this office right now, sweating. I’m not moving period, but I’m sweating. Atleast, I have an awesome Bobbie Gentry Pandora station to help ease the heat ache!

Caffee Machiatto with Milk- Sweet Love

Today’s coffee pick is a Caffe Macchiato! It can either be a doube or triple shot of Espresso, infused with a small amount of milky foam on top!  “In Italian, Macchiato literally means ‘marked’ or ‘stained (with)’. This coffee is ‘marked’ by a drop of milk, which differentiates Caffè Macchiato from dark Caffè Espresso.Caffè Machiato has two variants: Caffè Macchiato Freddo (with cold milk) and Caffè Macchiato Caldo (with hot milk). Freddo is good if you are in hurry or can’t wait until your coffee gets to a drinkable temperature.”

So, I finally listened to everyone and opened my very own shop on Etsy.com. For years, I’ve been making  my own concert t-shirts and costumes. For years, people have been constantly asking me where I get them. When I reply “I make them” , people then go “You should sell them!” So, if you love looking like a Rockstar, or the ultimate hippy or groupie, then check out Gypsy Jax’s Attic! I sell my own handmade creations, and I also take request. Hit me up or buy something you like!

This Motley Crue Sequined Band T just sold. Come Look!

Starbuck’s Double Shot Vanilla Espresso & Red Hair

Today’s coffee adventure was a lot exciting, and a little on the rock star side. I decided to go for it, and dye my hair red, like Rock Star red. It was an awesome choice and I loved it! So edgy, cute, sexy, and rockerish. Anyhow, my coffee adventure was more of a “straight espresso” kind of adventure. I enjoyed Starbuck’s Double Espresso with Vanilla!

Honduras El Paraiso Bourbon

Today’s coffee pick is an unique one I just purchased from Amazon.com. I can’t wait until it gets here! It’s The America’s Honduras El Paraiso Bourbon.

Details:

  • ARABICA VARIETAL: Typica & Bourbon
  • AROMA: Sweet, nutty and caramel-like with hints of cocoa
  • BRIGHTNESS: Light and subdued, this coffee is rich and body driven (vs. bright acidity)
  • FLAVOR: Rich roasted nut character with toffee, caramel-like syrupy sweetness
  • BODY & FINISH: Creamy and herbal with distinctive cinnamon tones

Do You Believe in Past Lives?

Standard

Last night while I was utterly bored, I decided to snap some self-portraits. I slapped on some heavier makeup, turned on some Pink Floyd, Led Zepplin, and Aerosmith, and started playing. I was actually shocked by the images that came out! It was like all my past lives were revealed. It was neat, fun, and exciting. It’s weird what my creative spurts, mind, and good music can do.

My Past Life: Lost & Frightened Empress

My Past Life: Rising, Soon to Be Queen of 70’s Rock n Roll

My Past Life: A Loving Groupie, Traveling with the Band

What were your past lives? What do you believe is captured by the lens?

Once again, my steaming cup of java and I, are met with early morning showers. It’s alright. I love rain. There’s a simplicity that’s beautiful about rain. Anyhow, I hope everyone’s enjoying Father’s Day. I’m off to visit my Daddy!

Coffee and Chicory

Today’s coffee pick is a New Orleans classic Coffee and Chicory. When I first moved here, I was perplexed. Chicory? I tried it and it’s pretty tastey. I love the Community Coffee House’s blend. It’s Arabica beans and high quality chicory . “The bittersweet richness of chicory lends itself to a heavier-bodied coffee that has become a New Orleans favorite. Made with 100% Arabica premium and specialty coffee beans.”  It was brought to the states during the Civil War by the French. They found that when brewed, it gave the coffee an almost chocolate flavor and lessens the bitter edge of coffee! Go, try it for yourself!

If You Could Be Any Vampire..

Standard

Before everyone climbed aboard the vampire train, I was already enjoying smooooth sailing. When every little girl wanted to be a princess, I wanted to be Dracula’s bride or Kirstin Dunst in “Interview with the Vampire.” Vampires are so mysterious, beautiful, cold, calculative, and fictional. Their beauty, charm, and history are the qualities that I believed pulled me into their depths. Anyway, I was mentally checking off my favorite vampires and it hit me, if I could be a vampire, which vampire would I be? You have so many options! Here are some of my top picks.

The Vicious, Fashionista Vamp

1.) Pam from True Blood

If you wanted to be cold,  heartless, vicious, and fashionable, then Pam is your vamp.

The unforgiving, decieving, charming vamp

2.) If you’d like to be the male version of Pam, you know: powerful, vicious, charming, unforgiving, and decieving, then Lestat de Lioncourt is your bloodsucker.

The Ass-Kicking, Guns Ablazing, Sexy Vamp

3.) If you’d like to be kick-ass, guns ablazing, sexy, and royalty, then Selene is your immortal.

The devilishy handsome, shameful Vampire

4.) This is my favorite vampire, the thoughtful, incredibly dreamy, shameful, desperately wanting to be human, Louis. He’s my favorite, hands down.

Dracula, need I say more?

5.) If you’d like to be the king of all vampires, ruthless, ancient, and alluring then Dracula is your beast.

My list could go on and one, but these are just some highlights. I’d be Pam, because she’s the exact opposite of my personality. As you can see, my vamps are not the current ones (aside from True Blood, come on. That’s an amazing show), they’re the original vamps of cinema and tale!

Suggested Reads: The Last Vampire (series), Dracula, Interview with the Vampire and I am Legend.

Novel, Rain, The Carpenters, & Coffee ❤

On this rainy Friday, my cup of steaming, soothing coffee is helping me kick the rainy blues! Well, maybe that and the fact I basically have more sugar & creamer than coffee…but, that’s how I like it! My Carpenters Pandora station is easing the rainy blues too. Side Note: “The Flock” is an amazing memior of a woman who lived with, discovered, and overcame multiple personalities.

Wake the F**K Up Coffee

Today’s coffee selection can be found in almost every store in New Orleans! I love it. It’s extra strong, and could you really pass up the picture with the name? Plus, its aroma is soo tempting. It’s almost like a hybrid between wine and a cigar barrell. It’s made from “Costa Rican & Brazilian coffees, Artisan roasted and ground in New Orleans. Espresso beans are ground into the mix”. Oh yes, it’s delicious. It’s a very heavy coffee, very strong. If you don’t like strong coffee, it’s not for you.

To send you off this today, I’ll leave you with an inspirational message :”Everything is as it is meant to Be.  It is what it is/you are who you are for reasons beyond human comprehension.  All is divine perfection.”
