Do You Believe in Past Lives?

Standard

Last night while I was utterly bored, I decided to snap some self-portraits. I slapped on some heavier makeup, turned on some Pink Floyd, Led Zepplin, and Aerosmith, and started playing. I was actually shocked by the images that came out! It was like all my past lives were revealed. It was neat, fun, and exciting. It’s weird what my creative spurts, mind, and good music can do.

I’m with the Band….My Soul Sista, Miss Pamela des Barres

The Original ‘Classy’ Groupie

This is Miss Pamela des Barres….my soul sister from another generation. If you haven’t read her book I’m with the Band, you’re def. missing out on an: eye-opening, non-stop entertaining, Rock n Roll making, page turner. Can you tell I love this book more than chocolate cake (that’s saying a lot)? She got to experience a free-spirited life for most of her young adult life. I just wish times could be that innocent again.

Miss Pamela is the ORIGINAL groupie. I mean, come on, she and her gang the GTO’s, were the very first group of women that traveled/lived/nurtured rock’s greatest legends. They were unlike any other thing I’ve seen, read, heard.  When I think of groupie, I automatically think of sleeping with the band, doing anything to be close to the band. But, that’s not what Miss Pamela was about. She was about honoring the men she felt gave the world beautiful music, and showing them her appreciation of their gifts. She was just attracted and loved to LOVE these men.

This is just a little run down of Miss Pamela’s adventures and highlights….YOU MUST READ THIS BOOK! Especially if you are a huge fan of classic rock (like myself). You get an intimate glance at the real rock stars themselves.

* She experienced the Whiskey A Go-Go, and other high profile clubs at their height!

*Experienced the true HIPPIE life first hand (she didn’t like it, at all)

*Got to know Mick Jagger, Jimi Hendricks, Frank Zappa, Rod Stewart, Waylan Jennings, Paul McCartney, Jimmi Page, and  Robert Plant intimately..just to drop a few names!
