Fell off My Bandwagon

So, I went to Vegas a couple of weeks ago, and since then I haven’t been exercising or running like I was during the summer. I’ve started school again (my last year as an Undergraduate in college! yay-bachelor’s of Psychology almost here, then on to Masters and Ph.D), and I’ve just gotten so off track. I went to Vegas August 16 and stayed for a 5 days. Let’s just say my relapse started about 3 days before I left. Anyhow, all I know is since then I have been bingeing and purging almost every single day, sometimes up to 3 times a day. I’ve also been restricting and basically eating nothing at all, except for pixie sticks. I know this is all because I stopped working out/running daily; I’ve just become too busy lately. I did run twice, but that was last week and on an empty stomach. I’ve lost 4 pounds and it was pure muscle.

I am promisng myself I am going back to being healthy and no more B & P; currently, I am sick because of stress (from school). I’m pretty sure not eating, and then throwing  up what you do eat, isn’t helping. I am promising to start my workout and healthy eating ASAP, as in tomorrow. I know my body is precious, as is my mind therefore, I must nourish both! And! how can I run and start a NEDA walk-a-thon in my hometown if I’m doing this craziness to my body??  SO, I vow to stop tomorrow!

Okay, I feel much better now 🙂

Inspirations for Your Day!

Nothing motivates me more than a beautiful, powerful quote!

Eleanor Roosevelt

“No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.”

“You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, ‘I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.”

“A little simplification would be the first step toward rational living, I think.”

“Happiness is not a goal; it is a by-product. ”

“Friendship with ones self is all important, because without it one cannot be friends with anyone else in the world.”

“I only answer to two people: myself and God.”

Siddartha Gautama (Buddha)

“All that we are is the result of what we have thought. If a man speaks or acts with an evil thought, pain follows him. If a man speaks or acts with a pure thought, happiness follows him, like a shadow that never leaves him.”

” Do not overrate what you have received, nor envy others. He who envies others does not obtain peace of mind.”

” In the sky, there is no distinction of east and west; people create distinctions out of their own minds and then beleive them to be true.”

“It is better to conquer yourself than to win a thousand battles. Then the victory is yours. It cannot be taken from you, not by angels or by demons, heaven or hell.”

“No one saves us but ourselves. No one can and no one may. We ourselves must walk the path.”

” Teach this triple truth to all: A generous heart, kind speech, and a life of service and compassion are the things which renew humanity.”

“The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, nor to worry about the future, but to live the present moment wisely and earnestly.”

Mother Teresa

“Do not think that love, in order to be genuine, has to be extraordinary. What we need is to love without getting tired.”

“Do not wait for leaders; do it alone, person to person.”

“I have found the paradox, that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love.”

“If you judge people, you have no time to love them.”

“We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop.”

“Give all your shit away and start living.”

The Real Deal Behind GaGa & Perry

Let me just say, I know what Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and every other outrageous celeb is doing……trying to be the next Cher. But girls, there can only be one Cher, and she’s simply legendary. I know these girls are just doing their ‘thing’ and being themselves, but before Gaga, Perry, Beyonce, Spears, J-Lo, Madonna…..there was only CHER. So, case closed…we all know what you guys are fighting for now.

This has cher all over it

cher’s already done everything ladies. She was the first to show her belly button on television and first to have a video banned until after 9 P.M. on MTV (Turn Back Time).

Keep trying though; I love some open-minded, strong women!
